Speech Language Pathologists are vital to understand the scope and impact of speech delay or disorder. Difficulty with language is not always a lack of ability to express thoughts and feelings. The cause may be a challenge with perception, understanding, or even cognitive communication and memory. Feeding Therapy

Eating is the most complicated motor and sensory task we do. Successful eating requires all organs, all muscles, and all senses to work in unison, and your child's nutritional status and environmental factors play a big role. Studies have found that approximately 80% of the special need’s population has issues with feeding and approximately 5-10% of infants and toddlers have persistent and significant feeding problems. 25-33% of children around the world are classified as “picky eaters” at some point in the first 10 years of their lives. If your child is having difficulty with feeding, including refusal to eat, a restricted diet (picky eating), structured meal-times, grazing, and/or screen time during meals. Integrated Autism Therapies now offers a family-centered approach to address these and many other issues surrounding successful feeding. Our team of feeding therapists are made up of Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Occupational Therapy Assistants.
